People who threaten suicide piss me off.
Now I have no issues with anyone that wants to rid themselves of the mortal coil and just gets on with it. I am pro-choice and if anyone decides they have had enough of this world and takes a leap, long swim or whatever then fair enough, it was their choice to make and they went ahead and made it. And unless they jumped in front of a train, or landed on a car, they did so without making a song and dance about it.
My problem is with the whinging, whining attention-seekers that feel they need to call everyone first to announce their supposed suicide. Let’s put this into perspective – if you are serious about ending it all, why would you want to let everyone know? You wouldn’t, unless you are just full of shit and waiting for people to come running to save you and tell you that you have everything to live for and what a wonderful person your are. You are not wonderful, you are a sad, pathetic waster who should be pointed at and mocked……then exiled to the desert.
Leaving a discreet note is acceptable, calling the Police and Paramedics to inform them you have taken an overdose is not, unless you have changed your mind about the whole death thing……then it’s ok.
People that commit suicide are most likely desperate, seriously unhappy, distraught and out of choices (or so they believe). I feel genuine pity for their plight. Unless they did it because they did something evil…..then fuck ‘em, good riddance.
People threatening suicide are either attention-seekers, self-pitying woe-is-me losers or incredible dullards just trying to appear edgy and ‘dangerous’. They deserve no pity, they deserve stoning.
Occasionally, one of these plastic suiciders gets it all wrong and manages to actually kill themselves – maybe they didn’t realise they were so close to the edge of that roof or they got a sudden cramp when they were bobbing in the sea and sank before their adoring crowd could reach them. No it is not a shame, it is poetic justice and if anyone says it’s a terrible accident then they should be slapped. Anyway, it’s not really an accident, it’s simply a fulfillment of an announced intention. They said they were going to commit suicide and they did. Hey, don’t blame me, they said it.
If they did not mean it, they should not have threatened it.
If somebody ends their own life it devastates those close to them, that is why suicide is seen as a selfish act, that may be true but it does not even come close to torment that the selfish bastards who constantly threaten to commit suicide put people through.
Anyone threatening suicide under false pretences should be shot!
